Last night we had our meeting for the November book, "The Actor and the Housewife," by Shannon Hale. Anne Bodily hosted for the evening, and she treated us all to a "healthy helping" of Claim Jumper's famous Chocolate Motherload Cake. Wow, was that good!! Great idea, Anne! It was well worth bombing my diet for the evening!
It was very fun to hear what everyone had to say about the book. It covers an interesting topic: Can a man and woman ever be best friends in a truly platonic relationship? There was a lot of interesting discussion on that idea, along with some entertaining, albeit not very surprising interpretation from some of our husbands on the matter! We had a lot of fun!
